Amusement

Electroproject has over the years delivered many high quality technical drive systems in a large number of market segments.

An overview of the many references per segment can be found by clicking 'links' on the left side of this page.

 Amusement

A tour-de-force in drive technology.

Electroproject was responsible for the engineering, delivery and commissioning of the drives systems and controls for four Invertigo roller coasters in the USA and Sweden. A tour-de-force in drive technology.

It was possible to stop the train at various positions using regulated high dynamic 400 kW asynchronous motors.

In 1998 Electroproject designed, delivered and commissioned the Xpress Platform 13 in Walibi Holland, including the controls. The linear synchronous drive system with a capacity of 2.5 MWatt delivered power of 200 kN (=20 tons). This managed to launch a mass of 13 tons to 90 kph in only 2.8 seconds.

Acceleration during the launch was 1.5 g. Electroproject has delivered and commissioned similar installations for amusement parks in Orland (US) and Paris (France).

In 2014 Electroproject updated the control systems. The original position measuring system was replaced by a sensor-less solution and simultaneously the controls for the power electronics was improved for an even more spectacular launch.

Electroproject was responsible for the engineering, delivery and commissioning of the drives systems and controls for several Giant Inverted Boomerangs in the USA, Russia and Sweden. A vertical tour-de-force in drive technology!

It was possible to stop the train at various positions using regulated high dynamic DC drive systems.
