Commissioned by the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep, Electroproject optimised the air treatment of Studio 5. Measuring and regulating humidity, sound and temperature were important starting points.
Besides installing IE3 motors and frequency converters, we replaced the fans with direct-driven plug fans and modified the discharge channel. In doing so, we not only achieved optimum air management, but also energy savings.
The Muziekcentrum van de Omroep, part of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting Company (NPO), has several studios in which major Dutch and foreign orchestras practise and make recordings. Air management is very important not only for the users, such as The Metropole Orchestra, but also for the instruments.
